Doubt: A success story

Doubt: A success story

Zach Bennison

Most school days seemed ordinary and routine for the average student, but everyone knew that kid that got pulled out of class for testing and therapy. It probably seemed like a relatively normal occurrence and not a big deal; however, it was a big deal, a big deal for the kid leaving class. I was that kid. I was that kid, who was constantly pulled out of class for a variety of reasons. It was actually a very uncomfortable and embarrassing situation every single day. Each time I felt embarrassed because it was pointing out that I was not like any of the “regular” kids. I vividly remember the feeling of shame and embarrassment, walking across the classroom to be escorted to a room away from my classmates, where all the “normal” students stayed to learn. I had some teachers who vividly expressed doubt to my parents in my ability to succeed in any way, I was always counted out as being anything more then below average.

Doubt. A fierce motivation to prove others wrong.

Doubt. Created by my failures, yet I turned it into my drive towards success.

Doubt. The foundation of my journey towards success.

Doubt. An opportunity to fail hard.

Doubt. Something to embrace.

Doubt. The creation of a success story.
