Falling for Failing

Falling for Failing

Failure. It’s one of those words you hear and think immediately in some form of

negativity. If you look into the context of our society and academic culture, you will see

that failure is not embraced at all. If anything, failure is to be avoided at all costs and

frowned upon by our peers and loved ones. But why is this? Doesn’t everyone fail now

and again?

Everyone does fail. Anyone who says they haven’t experienced many failures is someone

who lives their life in the area of familiarity. However in our current time, almost everyone

wants to exist in that area because it’s easy and doesn’t require much effort. This is why

our failures are not appreciated as much as they should be, because nobody wants to

play where they don’t know if they will win. However this is entirely far from the truth in

reality, as true successors in life win by getting better at the game and not by always

winning it.

Your relationship with failure should be an intimate one. Failures are evidence that you

courageously stepped outside of familiarity in order to reach somewhere of discovery. It

is not a bad thing to fail, rather it is an opportunity for you to nurture something new

about yourself you may not have uncovered yet. Do not fear failure, but rather fall for it

as falling forward with each failure is better than never moving forward at all.
