INDEPENDENCE DAY... WEEK... MONTH...YEAR! BY LAUREN TILLMAN
For my entire life, I have prided myself on my independence. Being an only child, independence has always been deeply ingrained in my personal brand. My self-belief was strong, but it was hindered by my VOJ. I came to realize this year that I was holding back my creative process. I was sheltering my second, third, and fourth right ideas because they were terrifying to expose.
Until I graduated from listening to my VOJ, I was never able to fully embody my independence, or creativity. The unique situation the pandemic has brought on has given me an opportunity to weed out my VOJ, and focus more on my independence and self reliance. I am excited to emerge from this quarantine as a more liberal, thoughtful, and relentless creative as I practice what I have learned in this precious time.
