FINDING THE LOVE IN YOUR LIFE BY LIZZIE HARDEN

FINDING THE LOVE IN YOUR LIFE BY LIZZIE HARDEN

When I was younger, I figured that my life would look like a fairytale. I had that totally cliche desire to fall in love with someone that made my heart beat a little faster, someone that made my days a little brighter, someone who could make each of my days feel a little more like magic. As I grew older, I started to realize that relying on another person for your own happiness is a dangerous rabbit hole to fall down. Romantic love is a tricky concept, a fickle fellow; one I no longer choose to chase.

While I may not actively pursue romantic love, I’m confident in saying that my life is filled with alluring, rich, unconditional love. As opposed to chasing love in its traditional form, I’ve found love in another. As cheesy as it may sound, I’ve fallen in love with creativity. I’ve found love in the creative process. I’ve found love in generating as many revolutionary ideas as my mind can fathom. I’ve found love in ideating, in making mistakes, in taking ridiculous risks, and in opening myself up to the harshest of judgement. Finding a passion, finding a purpose, a raison d’etre (as the French say), is one of the most pleasurable experiences in human existence.
