LIFE FAR FROM HOME BY BRUNO SOLOMUN

LIFE FAR FROM HOME BY BRUNO SOLOMUN

I never took school seriously when I was back home in Croatia. I was taking things for granted, and I never thought about how my life is going to look like when I get older. One day my professor asked me what I wanted to do with my life after high school, I didn’t know the answer at the time, but I realized I need to start thinking about it.

Croatia is not a good place for young people coming out of college, and I knew it was going to be hard to find a job. Basketball was my only solution to make something valuable with my life, therefore I decided to move out when I was 18 and go to USA. Even though I am far away from home, here I can do whatever I want to do, and I can test my creativity. I have so many options I don’t know where to start. I learned that sometimes you need to make sacrifices to have options and freedom. Maybe I will become a model or something– I have no limits and I can unleash my creativity.
