FAILING FORWARD BY MITCH HOUSTON
About seven years ago, my friend and I started this saying, “If you aren’t falling, you aren’t skiing hard enough.” In the beginning it was our slogan for pushing each other to become better skiers. Over time this phrase has come to mean much more. It’s about stepping outside of your comfort zone, attempting something that you’ve never done before and taking a risk. So many people want to be successful but too many are afraid to fall. Once you realize that failing is a step along the journey to success, you will begin to embrace the falls and stand up stronger because of them. If you become complacent in your comfort zone, you’ll never get off the bunny hill.
