Imagine all the people

Sharing all the world

A creative genius. A man who knew how to speak to the world. A man who brought peace and love to so many. John Lennon.

As someone born after December 8th of 1980, I never had the opportunity to witness John Lennon in person; his legacy lives on through his music and the images that Bob Gruen has left behind.

Who is Bob Gruen? He’s the photographer out of New York City that spent nine years with John Lennon and Yoko Ono. His photographs have allowed all of us to appreciate the creative life of John far after he has left us.

Whether it be John intimately working, smoking a cigarette at his kitchen table as he ponders song lyrics, or out socializing at the Grammy Awards with David Bowie, Paul Simon and Ari Garfunkel, the world is able to analyze John’s life through those images and the emotions and actions they highlight.

If you had your own Bob Gruen, what would the rest of the world get to see? In what environment do you work most creatively? How do you celebrate the successes and ease the frustrations? Who do you associate yourself with in different times of feeling? What would you realize about yourself if you saw your life through another lens?

You may say that I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one
