“Man is a genius when he is dreaming.”

― Akira Kurosawa

We fall asleep at night and an amazing thing happens: our voice of judgement falls asleep with us.

At age 20 I had crazy nightmares and dreams every night for 6 months straight. I was so worried about it and I couldn’t understand why it was happening to me.

It resolved on its own and I was so relieved but I quickly found myself waking up with an empty feeling inside. Where were my wild stories and why did my brain stop conjuring them up?

I believe that dreams are a beautiful example of creativity because they prove that we have the ability to break the rules of thinking. We can accept things that don’t make sense to be true. The impossible can be believable.

So go to bed excited, wake up appreciative, and start dreaming awake!

Sweet dreams,

Zzzzzz
