THE BEA IS A BUSY BEE BY BEA NEWBERRY
I stay invested, or what I call busy.
Having a part in the potential for good around me is energizing. Being incessant to find a new way to contribute to that good is what keeps me busiest.
I am fueled by broken systems, often ones that do not affect me directly. By taking my knowledge of what “solutions” have crashed and burned, I busy myself conjuring up solutions, dreaming up ideas not yet tested.
It begins with identifying who and what fuel this busy-ness.
I am inspired to connect the otherized with the mainstream because of our social strata that favors the latter. I am inspired to celebrate accomplishments of all sizes by all persons because I know we all have different starting lines and affordances. I am inspired to arrive at an unpopular opinion and declare it with volume and humility. Inspiration yields investment. In order for me to invest sincere time in someone or something, there has to be some tingling of cathartic connection to the who or what needs more care, needs a better solution. I much prefer to be inspired by the interests and needs of those I want to work with and work for.
Discovering these people and causes to invest myself in helps me to develop original value systems.
At this time, my core values revolve around respect and justice.
There is never a shortage of work and discovery for a more respectful and just society.
I live with poise yet stay on my toes. This controlled readiness provides the fuel that I need to maintain contentment and the ‘BZB’ in me.
I stay busy for me. And because of that, I can stay busy for others.
Key: C D B? D B S A B-Z B. = See the bee? The bee is a busy bee.
