Building Constructive Creativity
When I was little throughout my six years of Elementary School we had an art class and we would do an art project every week. We had to copy a poster of an event that was going on or draw a replica of a painting that interested us, or anything that we liked. I would always try and do something different.
My siblings would always help me do my art projects and I enjoyed working with them so much. My brother and I sometimes would have a different idea of what we wanted to make, but my sisters would figure out a way to combine both ideas to make a great picture.
One of the projects I enjoyed most was a book of life. We made this little book that had the most important things we value in life. The first page was pictures of my family, the second page was pictures with friends, the third was hobbies, and the fourth was about my faith. All these aspects have shaped my life immensely, that’s why I called it the “Book of Life”.
I enjoyed working with my siblings on this because it would show me how differently we wanted to work on things. Creativity is constructive because we are combining our ideas to make a bigger picture that no one has ever seen before. When we are open to learning from others we create something amazing.
