FIGURING IT OUT BY JACOB LONSWAY
When I first got involved in entrepreneurship and started learning about the creative mindsets, I so badly wanted a set of guidelines or rules. I constantly found myself trying to make a “how-to” or a rulebook for every mindset so I could check the boxes when applying it to a problem. It took me many trials, errors, and failures to understand there is no rulebook.
The creative mindset is not something you can learn from Google, it is a way of thinking and doing. Figuring out how to develop and implement the mindsets is what inspires creative confidence. Creativity is also unique to everyone, what works for one person may not work for another. The most important thing I have learned is that value comes from trying and failing, then seeing how others tried and failed so you can make progress every time.
As I move forward with the creative mindset, I have accepted that I will never stop learning ...even if I become a “creative veteran”, I will never know how to do it perfectly and that is my favorite part. You are constantly learning and adapting, always making progress and finding the problem, not the solution.
