THE BOX OF CREATIVITY BY MATTHEW ZRIMSEK

I come from a range of places and cultures, people and professions, and knowledge and experience. All of these different aspects of myself have created a number of perspectives and mindsets that I can draw on and empathize with.

To me, creativity does not have to be stepping outside of the box. It can be bending and warping the reality within the box you are confined to. This can be done in a few ways as well, most of the time bringing in experiences and changing the very outlook of what is inside the box in the first place.

This is what I do as a creative, this is the application of my creative mind. I don’t do well with spontaneous creativity, and I air on the side of a more logical and tactile approach. Thus I have needed to adapt what I can to what I want to do, and learned how to warp the reality in the box by applying different perspectives and experiences, turning it into boundaries that can be molded and shaped into something different and new.

To me this is just applying all of the different experiences I have had, living across the country, and traveling around the world.
