SOMETHING DIFFERENT BY SAVANNAH JENKINS
As a child, having a daily routine provided me with security and predictability. Knowing that everything will be the same and not trying anything new didn’t bother me because I would stick to my same routine. Whether it was at school, eating the same food, wearing the same clothes, or watching the same TV show/movies over again. This provided me with an easy life to live everyday. However, within these past couple of weeks of learning about creativity, I’ve found that trying something new broadens my perspective in various ways. For example, trying new foods has been an enlightening experience both good and bad. Some things I tried I grew to like and other things I tried I didn’t like. Just like a lot of things, if I never try anything new I would never know what can be enjoyable. And although change is difficult it is necessary to grow. I plan to continue to work on making creativity a part of my life by trying something different everyday, because in order to be successful change is necessary. Therefore, I realize I cannot grow without change, so don’t be afraid to try something different.
