THINKING ABOUT NOTHING BY DEVON HOFFMAN
Isn’t it funny that we get most of our good ideas in the shower? Or laying down to go to bed at night? Why is it that when we aren’t really thinking about anything, we start to really think about everything?
Maybe this type of thinking is what drives real creativity. It lets us open up our minds- without judgement-and start to step into a world where the less realistic idea, the better. The more impractical the idea, the greater. Maybe really tuning into our own thoughts, just for a little while, lets us reach deep down and grab onto the creativity sleeping in the bottom of our brains and pull it out.
We should probably start hanging out in our own heads more often.
