SEEING THE WORLD THROUGH A LENS BY KELSEY LEWIS

Photography is still a very new skill to me. I picked it up as a hobby senior year of high school and instantly fell in love. Every time I do a shoot, I learn something new about lighting or angles or the world around me.

Taking photos is a creative outlet for me. It’s an escape from the stress of my college course load and track practice. I see things from a new perspective through the lens of my camera. I can observe the subject I am shooting and learn so much about the person or scenery from the way they photograph.

I love when the person I am shooting opens up in front of my camera, and I get to really capture who they are. I love how with a photograph I can tell a story and manipulate the way people see. People get a glimpse of how I see the world through a lens.
