THE POWER OF INTENTIONALITY BY JOHN BINDER
The mantra “everything you do makes a statement” is a powerful one, and it has gotten me thinking about the power of intentionality, and being intentional in everything that you do. To be intentional is the fact of being deliberate or purposive. When I hear this definition, I think of its several applications to creative, professional, and personal development.
Be intentional with those you surround yourself with. You are the sum of the company you keep, so understand the people you need in your personal and professional life. There is so much knowledge in the world, so be intentional about your curiosity and learning. Don’t stand idle, chase your daydreamed thoughts and learn to take hypotheticals for a walk. When you pair the power of your curiosity with intentionality (a plan of attack to learn, grow, etc. in any facet) then you will be on your way to being the creative leader you want to be.
These are only minor examples and the point is, that being intentional will not only help you achieve your goals, and help you devise a plan for the future you envision for yourself, but it also helps you become the best version of yourself.
