WHAT I THINK IS COOL ABOUT ME AND CREATIVITY BY SARA KASSICIEH
Can you think of something that is so complex yet so simple at the same time? This is a daily struggle for me because I am just that: complex yet simple. But here is what I think is cool: I have found people who accept and appreciate me for all that I am. This is significant because I will be the first to admit that I am different; and proud of it.
What would life be like if you weren’t true to yourself? I am unapologetically myself with 100% honesty included whether you want to hear it or not. This also is part of my creative life. Those who do not support me in all my creative endeavors have no place in my life and should have no place in yours either.
If the question is asked, “what do I do if there are people that don’t support me”? My answer for you is to find new friends. I have developed a group of friends this semester that share my passion for a creative lifestyle but the coolest part are my closest friends who I have had since freshman year, before I started exploring my creative person, have been extremely supportive of the transition I have made and I hope to be an inspiration to them.
Creativity is something everyone needs in their life and if you are lucky enough to have friends that support you in this lifestyle, great. If not, don’t sacrifice who you are or the life you want to live for others; find those who support you and get rid of the haters who don’t. Life is too short. Have fun, take risks, and be happy!
