THE LEFT HANDED RIGHT BRAINER? BY ONDREJ NEMEC (ACTUALLY ONDŘEJ NĚMEC, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME ANDRE

As a child I was told that my brain was meant to be right-handed but instead I’m writing with my left hand and therefore I was supposed to be more creative than others. I was told I’m going to be better at arts and music than learning languages or math. I don’t think that’s true because I have been bad at painting and music but I learned 5 different languages and like algebra.

Nevertheless, I don’t think this has anything to do with creativity.

I see creativity as something completely different. It is what I call “new good ideas.” I found that my creativity is driven by my good moods.  When I feel really good I simply think differently, new thoughts come on their own and I’m more willing to experiment.

Photography is where I observe my creativity. Taking pictures is where I can simply change perspectives as often as I want. I can try as often as I wish; I can fail as often as I wish. It is where every new photo is un-identical. I see photography as good example of the connection of mood and creativity in my life. I do take much better pictures when I feel good, when I’m traveling with people I like and when I’m having a good time.

Photography is also a good example of innovation in my life. I innovate through being inspired by others. I’m always getting inspired by talking to other people interested in photography, going on photo walks with them or following famous photographers and learning about their techniques.
