GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD BY MATTHEW PEABODY
You are never not thinking. Your unique view is taking in everything around you assigning judgment and developing thought. No matter what, you’ll have an opinion about it, even for things you don’t know of.
How you go about life and view things in your world is perspective. Whether you’re happy or sad, the random ideas and thoughts that you have, even what you decided to wear today all came from your view on life. You are your perspective. However, if you can alter your perspective when looking at a problem, you will learn a lot more about your situation.
If you’re able to get away from yourself just a little, you can come up with something different because you aren’t infatuated by you. My creative process is focused around getting out of my head and into a state where I can develop and view a problem for its face value.
But even more, I try and apply it to life. All the negative feelings come from within, and they waste time. Don’t ignore those feelings but alter your perspective on them. The glass should always be half full.
Your problems aren’t as big as you think, and you aren’t as important as you think (which is awesome, trust me). Now you can continue droning on about life and how much it sucks, or you can enjoy it and love every moment of it. You only get one chance, so don’t blow it.
Get out of your head.
