Treat Yourself
Creative burnout is one of my biggest nightmares. As a student, small business owner, and independent artist, I am required to meet deadlines and create satisfying end products for others. While I am passionate about my work and have an insatiable hunger for productivity, sometimes I stare face to face with burnout at the worst of times.
Taking time for your personal well-being and doing things you enjoy, such as watching television, can be a powerful way to deal with creative burnout. Engaging in pleasurable activities can help you relax, recharge, and take a break from other pressures. By taking time to unwind and do things you love, you can create space for new ideas and inspiration to emerge, which can ultimately reignite your creative spark. So don’t be afraid to prioritize your own self-care. Watch that miniseries you have been wanting to binge. Go on that shopping spree. Meditate in solitude. Treat yourself.
