She Used To Be Mine
It’s not simple to say that most days I don’t recognize me. They don't tell you that you'll never truly understand it. You'll never understand why certain things happened to you and why you handled them in the manner that you did. Because being perfect is unachievable, you will never learn how to optimize your existence. You'll start to recognize perfection in the flawed. You might never discover your purpose in life, but you will learn how to make a difference in someone else's life on a daily basis. What you will learn though, is your preferred method for brewing coffee. You'll discover the ideal hangover remedy. Your passion and the job you want to have for the rest of your life will become clear to you. You'll learn how to let go of problems and move on while still recovering. Even when certain aspects of yourself appear insurmountable, you will learn how to treat yourself with kindness. You'll learn how to embrace and accept your life as it is. Since you only have one life to live, make the most of it. Even if it might not seem like it at the time, you are in total control. The new me who is more myself than I have ever been, has allowed me to be the most creative. So do something for me, as someone who loses herself from time to time, the number one way to truly be creative is to embrace your authentic self just the way you are. Do not let your surrounding control your thoughts and reactions. Simply, stop second-guessing everything. The girl that was carefree, empathetic, and passionate, used to be mine. She has followed the rules of society and has felt a sense of freedom being taken away from her.
Creativity enables alternative ways of thinking. It unblocks old patterns or habits of thinking. It allows for non-linear thinking. Creativity enables empathy.
