Embodying the Spirit of Weirdness

Embodying the Spirit of Weirdness

I tend to believe that weirdness is a subcategory of creativity and is the most inviting. When events in life are considered “weird”, it simply means that they are unoriginal. With that being said, I’d like to think that once a person has weird components to themselves, they are bottomless and full of million dollar ideas. I work to become more weird and creative by observing others and their daily activities. I find it very beneficial to pay close attention to the world around me, there is always an idea lurking in the open...but it takes weirdness to get to it. It’s important to note that when I’m talking about weirdness, it’s not the popular, negative connotation weirdness; rather a mindset to ensure that one stands out from the crowd and creates memorable experiences for others. Weirdness is what asks different questions to then come up with different solutions. Weirdness is the part of life that is the most outgoing and fun. Weirdness is not only innovating but also creating. I believe that this is what life is all about. The end goal is to live in a world where you are different and can show someone how much your brain can find different perspectives. It’s time to be weird, and it’s time to not take originality for an answer.
