Try the Gas Station Sushi
Throughout my 19 years of existence I have learned I'm a creature of habit. It's not that I don't
like change but that if I don't specifically try to switch something up in my day I default to the
normal. A good example of this was when I was in 5th grade, my mom told me that starting 5th
grade I had to pack my own lunches. The first week I packed something different every time but
once the year got going I started packing the same ham and cheese sandwich on white bread
with 2 packs of cheez-its every day. I did this for the whole year and to this day I can't eat ham
and cheese sandwiches or cheez it without throwing up.
I've learned now that if I don't try to change things up and be creative everyday I fall into these
pits that I don't realize I'm in until it's gone too far. Being creative everyday isn't hard and can be
as simple as trying a new food or talking to someone new. It doesn't always need to turn out
well. In Fact if it does always turn out well then you're not really being creative. When you look
back on a week, month, even a year, think to yourself did I try something new, did I take a risk or
did I do the same things I did last time.
