Original idea? Or a Stolen one?

Original idea? Or a Stolen one?

by Gabi Hugentobler

Someone once told me everyone just takes everyone's ideas and makes them a little better. And when I think about it... it might be true. For example, every country song is about beer, trucks, girls, and love. Every book still fits into a gene based on the same ideas. Every invention is a more “improved version” of the one before it. This can be said about movies, paintings, poetry, etc. So I believe we can’t truly claim an original idea as our own because it’s only a building block from the idea before. If we keep creating things this way... will the idea of creativity eventually be lost?
