The Neurotic & Impulsive New Yorker
Sometimes, I’m childish and argumentative. To be honest, I'm more neurotic and impulsive than
I’d like to admit– the negative traits of a creative person. My positive traits– emotional and
humorous. But who tells us what’s positive and negative? It has taken me years to understand
why I am the way I am, but finally accepting it was the easy part. It happened in NYC.
If I hadn’t taken various entrepreneurship classes, I would have never risked moving 8 hours
away from home for 2.5 months.
I would have never..
Stayed up until 4 am in NYC with my friends and saw rats running down the street...
Randomly traveled to Boston and fell in love with the city...
Visited Atlantic City and gambled too much money away...
Saw the Jersey Shore house and busted my knee open because I was having a little too much
fun...
Experienced one of the most popular parades in the world— The NYC Pride Parade...
And I definitely wouldn't have gotten my nose pierced.
Was I worried about spending money on all these adventures? Hell ya. But money comes and
goes. Saying YES to an adventure is a memory that will stick with you for a lifetime.
Will you wake up one weekend and travel to a new city for the fun of it? It might take 10 years or
10 minutes to figure it out. The answer? Probably in that Neurotic & Impulsive New Yorker
somewhere.
