DISCOVERING CURIOSITY WITH A POPSICLE BY ALEXANDRA KASSON
Ever since I was young I have had a passion for art and was known as the creative kid in school. You would never see me not doing something creative whether it is drawing, painting, or building with legos. For Christmas one year I got a pink lego set and was so excited when I opened it. To this day it is still one of my favorite gifts I have ever received. I loved building houses with Legos and wanted every Lego set when I walked into the store. There are times that I look back at my younger self and am still surprised with how clever I was. When I was four years old our television button got stuck inside of the tv. There was no way you could turn the tv on, so my curious mind found a popsicle stick and discovered that’s one way to turn it on. To describe that memory in one word would be ambiguity. Until this year I never thought about ambiguity and how it has impacted me. To discover ambiguity you have to be bold and think outside the box.
