PLAYING TO MY HEART"S DESIRE BY RAYANNA FLOYD
When I was a kid I had all the toys. I explored everything that I could from dollhouses, bikes, building blocks, pop-up tents, sidewalk chalk, playdough, to art easels and more. In becoming a young adult, the love of play has always stuck with me. I am a hoarder of hobbies ranging from painting, drawing, writing, tennis, hair styling, lifting, to crafting and more. Playing has generated this inner energy and liveliness that eventually became a cornerstone of my personality.
My creative endeavors have always been about trying all the things and exploring my options. Playful exploration is something like a super power that adulthood has slowly attempted to steal from me. My mind is getting too comfortable too quickly and an extra effort is needed to find more. Having an innate energy rooted in simply doing it and having fun while doing it pulls me across the finish line every time. It’s about enjoying what play has to offer.
