ONE THOUGHT AWAY FROM SOMETHING WORSE THAN FAILURE BY RISHI NARAHARI

Just run up the hill. Its only 1000 feet. What’s stopping you? Why are you slowing down? NO! NO! JUST KEEP GOING!

Your brain is your biggest weakness and yet your strongest asset. Your brain is what dictates a person’s ability to conquer any task, however once the brain fails, there is zero chance that you will be able to accomplish the feat. Mind over matter.

I learned the concept of mind over matter in regard to failure. You see, failure is something that is always apparent in a person’s life. No matter where you go, you will fail, and if you don’t fail, then you won’t succeed. I lost 75 pounds in a single year. I went from 215 pounds to 140. I had never struggled at any point in my time more than I did in that one-year period. However, I almost gave up 2500 times.

The issue is that once our brain decides something is too hard. Once it decides that a task pushes us out of our comfort zone a little too much. Our brain decides to shut down and give up. Once we get over this hump, this hump of giving up just because our brain is uncomfortable, that is when we grow. That is when true innovation occurs.
