It’s time to turn off your brain.

I have always struggled with over-thinking, whether it be something that someone said to me, or a problem I am trying to solve. But recently I have been working on doing something that many people simply overlook: keeping it simple.

There is an acronym that my old wrestling coach used to use that I always refer to when I find myself over-thinking: K.I.S.S, which stands for “Keep it simple, stupid”.

Whether it be brainstorming or problem solving, over-thinking can drastically limit your fluency and can eliminate great ideas and solutions, simply because your voice of judgement may have swayed you away from those ideas or told you that they are simply too basic.
