“Adults are just obsolete children and the hell with them.”
― Dr. Seuss

People today live longer

Than four centuries ago,

Yet our livelihood feel shorter,

But what do I know?

Yes- most adults seem fine,

But I think it’s a shame,

They no longer play games,

Their lives are too tame.

They fill their lives

With nine to fives.

They accept mediocracy

And allow their passion to flee.

They worry of bills and pills,

About their butts being too small

And their lash extensions needing fills,

But why do we care of these things at all?

Children imagine and create,

Adults discipline and dictate.

How did we become this way?

All we worry about is deadlines and pay.

Life is seen as a series of steps,

But who defined these so-called steps?

Life needs fun and ambiguity,

That is the secret to success, you see.

So screw adulting, big butts and bills,

And instead find yourself something that gives you chills.

Life should be like flying,

Not like you are slowly dying.

You can fly high in the sky in any direction,

So do not step up and down with no reflection.

Don’t become an obsolete child,

Let your imagination run wild.
