THE RULES OF PLAY DOH BY KELSEY HAUS

THE RULES OF PLAY DOH BY KELSEY HAUS

When I was a kid, Play Doh was a favorite activity. My sister and I always heard our moms Play Doh rules, and we learned to live by them.

Don’t mix the colors.

When you mix colors, you create new colors that haven’t been seen before.

Don’t play with Play Doh inside.

When you play with Play Doh in a new place, you can see it in a different light.

Put them back in the correct containers.

When you put them in the wrong containers, it is a surprise when you open the pink container and find purple Play Doh.

Only play with Play Doh when it is on the mat.

When you play with Play Doh on the ground, it adds new textures.

Play Doh is creativity. The rules of Play Doh are the constraints of life. We are told to live by the rules. But in order to make a new something new, we must break the rules.
