PIVOTING FOR THE FUTURE BY MICHAEL GEORGE

For me, one of the best forms of creativity does not necessarily derive from coming up with entirely new ideas or new solutions to existing problem. I believe that pivoting is one of the best ways that I am able to find personal creativity and exploration.

Pivoting is essentially exploring different and alternate routes from an initial idea, root, or solution.

One of the essential elements to pivoting is openness. Openness is a mindset that requires an individual to silence their voice of judgement and be willing to consider any and all options present.

A great way to pivot is to set a “mold” from a previous idea and see how you can expand or better that initial thought or idea.

In the end, creativity is essentially the ability to get “more” out of one’s surroundings and life. Pivoting is only one method out of many that can be used to achieve a new level of thinking or thought process. Creativity is also something that cannot be forced, it is something that can occur at any time in any place.

Successful creatives are the individuals who seize the day and pursue their unique visions.
