“There is nothing to fear but fear itself.” That’s what we tell ourselves, anyway. Many people will argue that it’s your voice of judgment you need to watch out for, but it is my belief that uncertainty is what’s stopping us.

Many people like to think of themselves as adventurous, but would you get on a plane if you didn’t know where it’s going to land? As Bud Light’s recent campaign asks, are you really up for whatever?

We sure like to think so, don’t we?

There is only one way to truly play it safe in this world, and that’s by completely avoiding any element of uncertainty. I don’t mean just a little bit of it, I mean a whole lot of it.

If we play it safe, we know exactly what we’re getting into. Life and creativity are completely unpredictable, and for us to truly engage in both, sometimes we have to speed up before we can see all the way around the corner.

Faster, faster, until the thrill of the unknown overcomes your fear of uncertainty.
