STAY YOUNG. STAY WILD. BY BEN LEONHARDT

STAY YOUNG. STAY WILD. BY BEN LEONHARDT

Creativity is simple, yet priceless. I believe we’re all born with it but with it but it fades over time. It’s as if losing your creativity is part of growing up.

To me, children are the most creative people in the world; they’ve been placed in an entirely new world and almost everything that happens in their lives is a fun and exciting experience that they’ve never had before. They are forced to find creative solutions to their problems and search for the “second right answer.” But as we grow older we become more familiar with our environment and the world isn’t as foreign and exciting as it once was, we begin to settle in and get comfortable; we slowly become less curious as time goes on and before we know it our creativity has disappeared along with our adolescent years.

But it doesn’t have to be this way; we can preserve our creativity as we grow older by seeking out entirely new experiences, just like we did when we were kids. If we are to preserve our creativity we must stay young, and we must stay wild.
