TAKING CREATIVITY TO FLAVOURTOWN! BY ALEXANDER HALL
If my career as an award-winning filmmaker doesn’t pan out (lol doubt that) my fallback will be as a celebrity chef. Here is my recipe for my homemade steak marinade. It will be hands down the greatest steak you will ever eat if you follow my directions. Cooking (and doing it well) takes patience and tones of creativity which is why I love it.
Alex Hall’s 5-Star steak marinade
Steak marinade
3 TB balsamic vinegar
4 TB soy sauce
8 cloves of garlic, minced
2 TB honey
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Worcester sauce
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
1/4 tsp ginger
Garnish with chopped chives
Puncture steak with fork on both sides and rub marinade over them, put access marinade aside for later
Preheat oven to 350
Turn stove on and heat cast iron skillet
Lightly coat pan with olive oil
Sear steaks on both sides for about 2 minutes till brown
Add 1 chopped scallion and a few branches of rosemary to the skillet and put it in the oven to bake for 10-15 minutes depending on how you like your steak
While steak is in oven put the left over marinade in a small sauce pan and bring to boil, once boiling set to low simmer
When done, set the steaks out to cool for 5 minutes then drizzle the left-over marinade over the steaks
