Get Closer. Follow the Action. Check out where People are flocking. All these things are wrong. In photography it’s easy to go to where the touchdown is, the trophy, people celebrating, or where all the other people with cameras are focusing and so the best pictures are often missed.

Look where others aren’t.

If something big is happening, focus on the small thing.

If the scene is wide, zoom in tight.

            People miss things not because they’re hidden but because they’re not looking. Everyone is going to have the photograph of the trophy, but no one is going to have the crowd’s reaction in the reflection of the trophy- because they’re all taking the same picture.

If you’re going to take the same picture that everyone else is going to take then you didn’t truly show up.
