BEING CREATIVE THROUGH UNCREATIVE MEANS BY NATALIE RUDY
When I am in a creative slump, I usually want to avoid thinking about creativity altogether. I get frustrated and my mind feels like it is waiting at a red light that is lasting forever, since you know today I actually have somewhere to be.
So I am not completely wasting my time by watching TV or eating when I am not hungry, I decide to do some cleaning around the house. Why not still be productive in a physical, housework type way instead of a mental creative way?
Doing tasks that do not take up any mental capacity is where I find most of my inspiration. The ideas just start popping up in my head and the creativity is finally restored. I am no longer stopped by red but now see the green light. I am able to finish my creative thoughts and also have a nice, clean house to work in.
