WHAT ARE YOUR EVERYDAY BED-MAKING THOUGHTS? BY ANA VASCONCELLOS

I get up each morning and the first thing I do is start my day by making my bed. For those of you who don’t make your bed in the morning, now might be the time to start. It’s my sanctioned ritual that begins my day the right way. I recently have taken into account what I typically think about when I make my bed in the morning. Maybe on some days I think about the overbearing weight of all of the things I have to accomplish for the day. Some days it might be just how badly I would be willing to commit murder if it meant I could curl back under the warm covers and sleep a bit more. But changing the thoughts I have every morning as I make my bed shift the way I view my day. Shifting the thinking from what do I have to do for the day, to what can I achieve for the day? Who in my life is inspiring me to get up and out of my bed right at this very moment? What can I do today to make this one of the most memorable days I have had in all of my twenty years thus far? There’s a lot you can think about that can change your perception of life when you make your bed each morning. Try it.
