SEEKING KNOWLEDGE FROM THOSE BEFORE YOU BY WALTER KRESS

SEEKING KNOWLEDGE FROM THOSE BEFORE YOU BY WALTER KRESS

“There is always something to learn from anyone in any conversation. People love to talk about themselves, so listen and let them.”

My father said this to me at a young age and it has stuck like that glue you can’t get off the back of your shoe. If there is someone in a similar role that you aspire to be someday, talk to them. Ask them what they did at your age, or what you can do now to put yourself in a position to achieve this desire.

Now, whenever I hear someone speak whether in a class, fraternity event, speaker, etc. often I email them afterwards asking for 15 more minutes of there time. Your brain is like a Cedar Point ride, it fills up fast. Make sure you are filling it with quality and significant information!
